Research and development - Louvain-la-Neuve (Belgium)About EMAsphereEMAsphere occupies more than 50 employees with offices in Louvain-La-Neuve, Ghent and Paris.As a Senior Software Engineer, you'll contribute to our technologically bleeding-edge Java/Spring Microservices project, working with a diverse agile team of 15 professionals. We're seeking someone with extensive software development experience, deep knowledge of the Java/Spring ecosystem, and a passion for creating beautiful, ambitious solutions.Your responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable software solutions using Java/Spring.
• Participate in the entire application lifecycle, focusing on coding and debugging.
• Collaborate with front-end engineers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
• Work closely with the team to design and launch new features.
• Improve code quality through writing unit tests, automation, and conducting code reviews.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to refining our Agile process.About you
• Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent through professional experience.
• Minimum 6 years' experience in software development.
• Proficiency in Java / Spring ecosystem, Relational Model, and Web Standards.
• Proven experience in layered, RESTful, Microservices architectures, and Cloud development.
• Fluency in French or Dutch, with an excellent command of English.
• Experience with non-relational databases (Key-Value, Document, Graph, etc.).
• Familiarity with Cloud technologies (AWS S3, RDS, Aurora, Kubernetes, MQ, etc.).
• Exposure to Data Science and Machine Learning.
• Strong team player with a knack for independent problem-solving.
• A genuine interest in and passion for software creation.
• An open, honest, and eager-to-learn attitude.
• A desire for continuous self-improvement, both in technical and business knowledge.
