Volt is immediately hiring for a Linux Systems Administrator.
In this role, you can directly impact the world around you and

and warfighter needs.
What You Will Do
Provide IT systems administration of RedHat Enterprise Linux
environments.
Understanding and knowledge of Windows Server internals or Linux
fundamentals to include DNS, DHCP, AD, and server replication
methods.?
Working as a team member in a fast-paced technological
environment.? Use troubleshooting techniques to resolve technical
problems of a moderate to high scope and complexity to include the
integration of hardware and operating systems (OS).
Understanding of data RAID, data backup uses and technologies.
Install and configure software applications requested by end users.
?
Work with Cybersecurity professionals to maintain security
requirements and provide documentation and training on advanced IT
processes and procedures and other tasks as assigned.
This is a 12 Month full time Contract or Contract to hire
opportunity.
Active TS/ SCI
Qualification:
Typically requires bachelor's degree and minimum of 5 years of
prior relevant experience or a master's degree and minimum of 3
years of prior relevant experience
Must have a current and transferable U.S. government issued TS/SCI
CI Poly security clearance prior to start date.
Must have Linux experience.
Must have an active DoD 8570 IAT Level 2 certification (or higher)
on start date. IAT Level 2 requires one or more of the following
Professional Certifications: Security+ CE, CCNA Security, GICSP,
GSEC, SSCP, CySA+, CND
Must have experience administering Red Hat Linux based systems
Must have scripting experience
Qualifications We Prefer
Experience with patching, creating/maintaining RPM packages
Experience with performance tuning, networking, user management
(LDAP), and security hardening
Administer, maintain, and troubleshoot Atlassian products (Jira,
Confluence, Bitbucket)
Experience with Jenkins automation
Configuration of Scanning tools Nessus/McAfee
Proficiency with Enterprise level administration of common services
such as DNS and LDAP
Strong analytic and research skills - must be detail oriented
Demonstrated ability to work independently and troubleshoot
problems with efficiency
Requires the ability to effectively interact with external
personnel on significant technical matters often requiring
coordination between organizations and vendors
Pay Rate:
*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on
several factors, including the candidate's education, work
experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications,
etc.
