Job Summary:
The Department of Psychiatry is looking to fill multiple full-time
benefits eligible Finance Professional positions. These are
considered open-rank positions and the level assigned will be based
on each individual professional's qualifications and experience.
These Finance Professional will work in the finance domain
(including but not limited to sponsored project, clinical, and
auxiliary enterprise finance), accounting, revenue cycle, clinical
operations, and human resources. The overall goal of these
positions is to advance the Department's capacity for data-driven
decision making in key domains to achieve the vision of Brain
Health for All, For Life.
Finance Professionals have multiple opportunities in the Department
of Psychiatry ranging from working in the Department's Finance Core
which oversees an annual budget of over $100 million and will
specifically support the Adult Clinical Division in the Department
of Psychiatry.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in ensuring programs and projects, including grants and
contracts are fiscally sound and adhere to Federal and University
of Colorado Policies and Procedures.
Assist in managing fiscal reporting activities for the Department
including revenue, expense, and balance sheet transactions;
monitoring of program and contract/grant budgets; and assists in
fiscal and progress reporting to funding agencies, including
performance-based and cost-rate analysis.
Assist in the management of resources and activities within the
University system including Fiscal & Budget management, Procurement
of Goods and Services, and Grant & Contract administration.
Maintain internal grant/contract submission and award tracking
spreadsheets, invoicing when appropriate, and evaluating available
technology/apps/software to modernize tracking system and
capabilities.
Support and grow the Department's Revenue Cycle processes including
mapping, outreach to external partners, and interfacing with
departmental faculty and staff regarding productivity and
billing.
Maintain monthly and Annual financial cost reporting requirements
and accrual processes.
Work Location:
Hybrid - this role is eligible for a hybrid schedule of 3-4 days
per week.

Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
Intermediate Level:
A bachelor's degree in business administration, business,
economics, finance, financial management, accounting, public health
administration, or a directly related field from an accredited
institution.
A combination of education and related technical/paraprofessional
experience may be substituted for the bachelor's degree on a year
for year basis.
One (1) year of professional level experience in business, finance,
and/or accounting administration.
Senior Level:
A bachelor's degree in business administration, business,
economics, finance, financial management, accounting, public
health, administration, or a directly related field from an
accredited institution.
A combination of education and related technical/paraprofessional
experience may be substituted for the bachelor's degree on a year
for year basis.
Two (2) years of professional level experience in business,
finance, and/or accounting administration.
Principal Level:
A bachelor's degree in business administration, business,
economics, finance, financial management, accounting, public health
administration, or a directly related field from an accredited
institution.
A combination of education and related technical/paraprofessional
experience may be substituted for the bachelor's degree on a year
for year basis.
Three (3) years of professional level experience in business,
finance, and/or accounting administration.
Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of
hire.
Preferred Qualifications:
A master's degree in business administration, business, economics,
finance, financial management, accounting, public health
administration, or a directly related field from an accredited
institution.
Experience working with university software applications including
m-Fin, CU Marketplace, Concur, InfoEd, and OnCore; or
pre-/post-award management in academic setting.
Experience in pre- and post-award contracts and grant
administrations in an academic setting.
Experience working in Revenue Cycle.

The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has
been established as:
Intermediate Level: $48,265 - $61,393
Senior Level: $52,178 - $66,371
Principal Level: $60,005 - $76,327

University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of
