Box Truck Driver - Furniture & Appliance Delivery
Speedbox LLC is hiring immediately in Aurora, CO for non-CDL 26 Box
Truck Drivers to transport and deliver furniture, appliances, and
heavy packages weighing up to 300 lbs. We are an Amazon AMXL
contractor and a team of over 150 hero characters united by mission
to provide excellent customer service while having zero safety
incidents. In this role, you will be responsible for safely driving
a 26 box truck with air brakes up to 200 miles per day on a route
to 40 50 addresses in Denver and northern Colorado. Each day you
will be paired with a helper who will assist with customer service
(providing arrival ETAs by phone/text) and assisting with
lifting/maneuvering of oversized packages weighing up to 300
pounds. Our team provides in-home delivery services, including
delivering packages into the customer s room of choice or helping
them with basic assembly (installing feet onto a television or
handles onto an exercise bike).
To be eligible for this Box Truck Driver role, you must have at
least 1 year of delivery, moving, or transportation experience in a
company with safe driving requirements. We provide classroom and
behind-the-wheel training on box truck operation. Additionally,
this position is DOT-regulated and therefore all drivers must be
able to pass a 5-panel drug test which includes testing for
marijuana/cannabis/THC. It is a violation of federal law for
commercial drivers to have marijuana/cannabis/THC in their
system.

- Hourly Compensation: Box Truck Drivers in Aurora, CO earn pay
of $25.00/hour. We are also hiring for Cargo Van Drivers (in both
Aurora and Broomfield) with pay of $23.50/hour. Speedbox LLC

Where & When We Work
- Speedbox LLC has Box Truck Driver jobs available in Aurora near
I-70 and Tower Road at 22300 E 26th Ave, Aurora, CO 80019, with a
typical shift working between 09:30 AM 8:00 PM.
- Additionally, we operate cargo vans from a 2nd location in
Broomfield (near I-25 and Highway 7) at 400 W 160th Ave,
Broomfield, CO 80023, with a typical shift working between 11 AM
9:30 PM.
- All team members must be available to work at least one weekend
day as part of their schedule. We have immediate openings on
weekend shifts including Thursday-Sunday, Friday-Monday, and
Saturday-Tuesday.
What does this job entail?
As a Package Delivery Driver, you ll be part of our Delivery
Operations Team that keeps us going every day. Delivery Drivers are
responsible for safely driving delivery vehicles, complying with
DOT standards for fleet vehicle safety, package securement, and
strict adherence to traffic laws. You ll deliver smiles at every
stop, going above & beyond to ensure that our neighbors receive
their e-commerce orders on-time and free of damage. All team
members start their career with a 3-day paid training program that
will teach you the fundamentals of defensive driving and how to
stay safe at every delivery stop.
A typical day and the Job Responsibilities for a Package Delivery
Driver include:
- Being a Safety-First leader where you must independently be
able to maintain the highest levels of safety at the terminal,
while driving on road, and at every delivery stop. This includes
complying with all Department of Transportation regulations and
following traffic laws at all times. Box Truck Drivers are subject
to random roadside inspections at weigh stations and from police
officers.
- Having punctual attendance and flexible schedule availability
so we can adapt to changes in our operating schedule or unexpected
customer demand.
- Efficiently organizing your work at the start of each day,
which includes performing a pre-trip safety inspection to identify
any vehicular defects on the box truck. Drivers must strictly
ground any vehicle with a mechanical defect. As a driver, you must
be familiar with basic mechanical functions of the vehicle
including how to inspect tires, lights, fluid levels, mirrors &
glass, brakes, and vehicle documentation. You must also be capable
of identifying potential hazards that require further diagnosis
from a mechanic, such as due to irregular sounds, fluid/air leaks,
or check engine lights.
- Box truck drivers based in Aurora, CO must be able to maneuver
packages weighing up to 300 lbs using carts/lift straps with
assistance from a driver helper. This role requires maneuvering
packages into the delivery truck during load out, which requires
hand lifting, pushing, pulling, and organizing up to 50 packages
daily weighing up to 300 lbs each.
- Maintaining organization of packages throughout the day so you
can quickly identify packages at each stop, while bending, reaching
above head, kneeling, crouching, and stretching to maneuver
packages within the vehicle.
- Using a handheld smartphone to navigate each route using GPS
technology, while driving a box truck for up to 200 miles per
day.
- Strictly complying with all traffic regulations and defensive
driving procedures, including wearing a seatbelt, maintaining a
safe following distance, and having zero distracted driving,
speeding, or stop sign/stop signal violation events. All vehicles
are equipped with an AI vehicle telematics and dash camera system
that monitors safe driving in real-time.
- Walking 4 5 miles per day while climbing up to 20 flights of
stairs when delivering packages to the front door of homes and
apartments.
- Reading, writing, and speaking English to communicate with
customers and colleagues by phone, text message, and in
person.
- Braving the elements by working outdoors in a variety of
weather conditions, including hot temperatures, cold temperatures,
rain, snow, and high wind.
- Keeping a professional appearance at all time, including a
willingness to follow uniform and PPE (personal protective
equipment) guidelines.
Qualifications and Requirements include:
- Box Truck Driver applicants must be 21 years of age or older at
time of application.
- Speedbox LLC requires that Box Truck Drivers have at least 1
year of prior transportation / driving experience in a safety
sensitive environment, such as with a delivery or moving company,
as a CDL truck/bus driver, or while operating other types of
commercial vehicles such as trash trucks, flatbed trucks,
etc.
- All employees must be able to complete a 5-panel pre-employment
drug screen which includes testing for marijuana/THC/cannabis. DOT
requirements prohibit box truck drivers from having THC / marijuana
/ cannabis in their system at any time while on duty.
- Box Truck Driver trainees must successfully pass all training
curriculum, including demonstrating the ability to safely operate a
delivery vehicle through a road course.
