Education Specialist RN job description is in alignment with the
Association of Nurses in Professional Development (ANPD). ANPD is
the practice and thought leader for nursing professional
development and the specialty practice organization upon which
education specialists base their professional activities. ANPD has
identified six core standards of practice on which this job
description was heavily influenced: competency management,
education, role development, orientation/onboarding,
research/EBP/QI, and collaborative partnerships.The Operating Room
at Anschutz campus is a 14 OR unit that treats children and
adolescents for any level of injury or illness. The unit supports
24 different surgical specialties and performs more than 23,000
cases a year. We are a unique, yet impressive team comprised of
bachelor's prepared nurses, certified surgical technicians,
anesthesia technicians, anesthesia providers, and surgeons. The
staff in the OR are proud to provide safe quality of care to our
patients. We perform a wide variety of surgical procedures
including abdominal and thoracic surgery, bariatric surgery, cleft,
craniofacial, and plastic reconstructive surgery, colorectal
surgery, cardiac surgery, ENT surgery, fetal surgery, burn
treatment, trauma surgery, neurosurgery, orthopedic surgery,
ophthalmology surgery, gynecologic procedures, transplant surgery,
and urology surgery. Our OR nurses and surgical technologists
receive extensive training and education in all surgical
specialties promoting communication, teamwork, and critical
thinking. We promote continued education and encourage staff to
pursue specialty certifications. You will find our team to be a

Shift: Daytime, Monday through Friday. Option to work from home one
day per week. Qualifications Education: Bachelor of Science in
Nursing (BSN); Masters of Science in Nursing (MSN) or equivalent
with post-master's certification in educationExperience: 5 years of
clinical pediatric experience Certification(s): BLS/CPR from the
American Heart Association with at least 6 months left before
expiration is required upon hire, American Nurses Credentialing
Center(ANCC) or Magnet approved certification.Licensure(s): Current
Colorado RN LicenseResponsibilities POPULATION SPECIFIC CARE
Salary InformationAnnual Salary Range (Based on 40 hours worked per
week): $97,718.13 to $146,577.19
Hourly Salary Range: $46.98 to $70.47
