Diagnostic Radiology Supervisor

Implements annual work plans to achieve goals and performance metrics.Participates in leadership activities for department, contributing to the achievement of goals and objectives; evaluates team performance. Defines and maintains internal processes for section; supports customer service standards and handles operational and customer service escalations for section. Serves as a champion of organization culture, influencing culture change to support section objectives.Manages communications to the organization on projects and hot topics related to section. Maintains effective working relationships with peers in section, peers in other divisions, and senior leadership.Directs day to day technical duties for department. Assigns and reviews work, provides work instruction (OTJ or formal training) and develops team members. Evaluates performance of team members, providing continuous feedback. Manages discipline and performance issues, hires, and fires team members. Identifies resource needs and develops recommendations for meeting needs.Participates in developing budget recommendations and in monitoring budget.Works on complex projects; performs project management activities. Provides technical expertise on programs, processes, and best practices.Ensures compliance against federal, state, and local regulations for section.Actively participates in the development and monitoring of compliance with all regulatory agencies and federally funded programs, productivity analysis, quality/performance improvement and patient/employee safety.Provides high quality patient care through the use of effective communication that explains the exam and ensures patient comfort and safety, and independently produces high quality images.

SCOPE & LEVELGuidelines: Guidelines are in the form of stated objectives for the section, unit, function, or project. First level of full supervision in a classification series. Performs the work of front line staff as needed.Complexity: Work assignment is generally unstructured and employee is responsible for assigning and supervising a variety of functions to achieve the objectives of the section, unit, or project. Duties performed involve weighing and evaluating factors requiring judgment, analytical ability, and problem solving.Decision Making: Employee is responsible for simultaneous coordination and supervision of several functions, programs, or projects in various stages of completion. Primary responsibility for arranging and directing the work of two or more employees. Communication: Contacts are of a non-prescribed nature involving the negotiation and resolution of problems and where exceptional degrees of discretion, judgment, and specialized knowledge are required in carrying out the programs and policies of an organization.Supervision Received: Under managerial direction, the employee has personal accountability for carrying out the work objectives of an organizational unit or section within the scope of established guidelines and the mission of the agency or department. Employee is expected to resolve problems that arise in the normal course of the work. Work may be discussed with higher level supervisors and reviewed for soundness of judgment and feasibility of decisions.

Salary InformationAnnual Salary Range (Based on 40 hours worked per week): $90,900.58 to $136,350.88
Hourly Salary Range: $43.70 to $65.55
